The new configuration dialogue makes it much easier for you to manage and edit your user-defined property arrangements for schematic symbols and 3D part placement in your project. When configuring, you can now also check the use of customised property arrangements and easily delete unused ones. The context menu lets you quickly find the user-defined arrangements currently in use (menu item “Insert into list of search results”). With just another click you can then easily call them up (menu item “Go to (graphic)”).Your Added Value:
You can make multilingual entries for many properties and input fields in your project or in parts management. Then you can manually translate them later or have them automatically translated into a single language. EPLAN Platform, Version 2.9 provides you with an extra helping of clarity in this.
Fields in which a multilingual input is possible are now identified by default with a standard icon in the user interface: if you enter a text into a multilingual field, it is initially language-independent and remains displayed as it was input. For a translation, the text will be assigned to the specified source language, at which point it will then receive an icon for language-dependent text.
What the new “globes” next to the entry fields mean was explained above. But what are the many other icons in the tree view of the Project Data Navigator telling you? The new tooltips provide the meanings – just move your cursor over the icon and then you’ll be in the know!Your Added Value:
Did you know that when you copy pages into your project or paste page macros into it, you can change the structure identifiers and page numbers before adding the pages? Use the “Change structure” dialogue field. What’s new in EPLAN Platform, Version 2.9 is that you can now change the page description at the same time.Your Added Value:
You would like to jump back and forth between jump targets in an exported PDF document? Then marking them with a flashing red frame will provide you with a better overview: after the first jump, all other destinations will be marked in this way. Possible jump targets could include devices on schematics or generated device pages as examples. If the “Archiving format PDF/A” check box is checked in the PDF export settings, no markings will be created.Your Added Value:
